What is the value of obtaining a government accredited seminary degree?
We know of two graduates of a UPCI seminary with a Master of Divinity degree, a government accredited degree.
Upon graduation, they could NOT find a church to pastor. They were relegated to planting a church from scratch.
What is the only benefit of obtaining a government accredited degree?
The only value is if you were to teach in an accredited state school or a government accredited seminary.
There is very little requirement for Apostolics in either.
The church does NOT care if you have a government accredited degree.
Both of the seminarians listed above are over $50,000. in debt. Yet, they are planting a church where they must work a secular job to pay off their seminary debt and provide funding for the church they are planting.

A Further thought on Accreditation
For ATS to be accredited by a government agency would require a payment of at least $10,000. just to start the accrediting process.
We are charging about $70. a credit hour. Where is the $10,000. plus, going to be gained? Sure, we could charge $300 to $900 per credit hour to pay their fee.
We provide Greek, Hebrew, and O.T. and N.T. Aramaic Biblical language courses at a fraction of the cost of other seminaries. Eventually, most of our professors will have a Bible degree from ATS.

My method for teaching the Biblical languages is very unique. My synagogue education has been very beneficial. Was in a Yeshiva course this Summer with an Orthodox rabbi - by webinar out of Jerusalem. His Hebrew language studies are fantastic!
ATS is not federal government accredited, but we can easily justify our existence!
